Holly Chervnsik founded SuburbanBuzz.com in March 2009 in an effort to provide small businesses with affordable Marketing and Advertising services.
Holly is originally from Atlanta, GA, but has lived in Texas since 1989. Holly attended the University of Houston Clear Lake, where she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences and earned a Master's Degree in Humanities with a concentration in Applied Graphic Design.
Holly has been a Web and graphic designer for 10 years at Chervnsik Web Design & Graphics, providing creative solutions for many local companies, including many custom home builders and NASA's online store. Because of her Web and graphic design work in the racing industry, she has formed a partnership with one of the largest sports marketing companies, providing on and off track marketing to such prestigious teams as IndyCar legend A.J. Foyt and Antron Brown, the current #1 ranked top fuel drag racer in the NHRA. Holly has also taught advertising art students at Houston Community College, focusing on typography, digital imaging, digital communications and presentation design.
Holly's passion for cultural and fine art influenced the publishing of her book, "Six Generations of Hopi Pottery: A Stylistic Analysis of Nampeyo Family Designs" and creating an online catalog/database of over 300 pieces of Native American art work for a private collector in Houston, Texas. The documentation of this collection has resulted in the Hopi Foundation's building a museum to house the collection on the reservation, where no museum has existed previously.
When Holly is not working hard or networking, she is busy as wife and mother, and enjoys reading and auto racing.
Michael Fenton first showed interest in arts at a young age. He attended art school in Scotland before moving the United States of America. Moving to the states opened up many opportunities for Michael as he started networking in Houston.
After graduating Houston Community College's Commercial Art Program, he began freelancing Web and graphic design.
At the age of 18 he started Fenton Design Studio; the company started building dynamic sites for professional gaming teams. After meeting the makers of a video card company in LA for a gaming event, Michael took charge of the company's Web and graphics development. The work continued with Palit, an Asian video card manufacturer launching in North America. Palit commissioned Michael to manage their online marketing through the building of PalitLAN.
Since then Michael has continued to build his clientele and move forward on the web. When he finds the time, Michael plays percussion and manages a Jazz/Funk Band. He also likes to exercise his creative talents in painting and drawing.
Michael has been instrumental in the online branding of SuburbanBuzz.com, bringing to it a trendy interface and creative Web 2.0 applications.
Kathleen Grandfield is a consummate entrepreneur. She currently divides her time as a Certified Chocolatier who creates art through chocolate as well as the lead designer of her own line of jewelry. Her online boutique, www.kathleengrandfield.com is based in Austin, Texas, and showcases both her custom jewelry as well as her artisan chocolates. Her Blog “La Vida Cocoa” (http://lavidacocoa.blogspot.com) is a compilation of her “Capricious musings on life, fashion and chocolate as well as her articles that have been published on other websites. This Mother of two, has lived and worked on two continents and loves to travel. She is fluent in English and Spanish with a working knowledge of French. She has 17 years of entrepreneurial experience in retail both stateside and in Europe. Her background includes a degree in Education and a Bachelor of Arts, owning a boutique in the U.S. as well as working and consulting for some posh boutiques in London, England (Chanel, Harvey Nichols, La Perla).
Kathleen’s community involvement includes a women based event she conceived in 2005 called “A Day With the Goddesses” © which has been described as a “spa for the soul”. Her specialty is connecting women in an inspirational setting to help nurture their souls and at the same time provide a platform for showcasing their business. In 2009 Kathleen was chosen to be one of the Entrepreneurial presenters for the RISE conference, which is a series of events created and led by successful members of the Austin community. She continues to work with entrepreneurs both individually as well as conducting workshops to assist their needs.
Yvonne attended Middle Tennessee State University focusing on Theatre. She continued her education in Mass Communications at Volunteer State. Yvonne has taken many radio stations and companies to the top of their industry charts through effective Marketing and Public Relations campaigns. As a broadcaster, Yvonne enjoyed the prestige of holding the number one Adult Contemporary morning show in her market. While being on-air for 13 years Yvonne also served as Promotions and Marketing Directors for several stations. Through this career, Yvonne relished in Marketing a vast variety industries. She enjoyed watching the stations and clients succeed through the Marketing campaigns and creative ideas she implemented. With her experience and knowledge of all forms of media, clients benefit from media exposure, grass-roots campaigns, branding, networking, promotional opportunities, eye catching advertising, compelling copy and unsurpassed creativity that have proven effective time and time again.
Yvonne began her Marketing and Public Relations career in 1986. Her qualifications also include voice-overlay, professional news copy writing, press releases, reporter, news anchor, print, television production and large scale event planning.
Yvonne is a proud mother of two boys, loves sports and being involved in the community.
