- How to create an effective Facebook Fan Page

Many people have used Facebook for many years. Recently Facebook has become a valuable asset in marketing. It's origins started as a networking site for students. As the user base increased Facebook developed other sections of the site to include non students, musicians, celebs, groups and businesses.
Facebook can be a powerful tool if used correctly. Take a look at the steps below to create a page and edit the information/content.

Step 1: Login into your facebook account.
Step 2: Scroll down to the footer and click on advertising.
Step 3: On the next page you will see a link to pages. It is located below the top blue bar.
Step 4: Click on the green "Create Page" button.
Step 5: Select your Business Category. You can also create other type of pages. If you are a business stick to a category that makes perfect sense.
Step 6: Enter the name of your Page: i.e SuburbanBuzz.com and click the create page button.
Your page should look similar to this:
- How to edit your information
1) Click on the info tab
2) Click the edit information button on the right side of the page.
3) There are two sections, Basic Info and Detailed Info. Enter your founding year and then click the detailed info bar and it will open up more options. Once done click save changes.
- How to suggest that your friends become a fan of your page
1) Click the become a fan button and refresh the page.
2) Click suggest to friends and then select your friends and click "Send Invitations"
- How to add images/photos to your page
1) Click on the Photos tab.
2) Click the grey "Create a Photo Album".
3) Enter your album info and click "create album".
4) You will be taken to a screen where you can select photos on your computer and upload them to the album.
5) Once all files are uploaded you will be given the option to add captions and other information.
6) You can either click "Save Changes" or You can click "publish now"
Save Changes submits the photos to your photos page, Publish now also makes an announcement on your wall.
You can now post information, images and announcements on your page wall. There are other features you can play around with as you get more familiar:

Add Events
Add Links
Create a facebook event
Add Notes
Add Video
Add a link to your web site or in your new an improved premium business listing. Spread the word that you know have a facebook fan page to clients, friends and prospectives. We will post more about facebook marketing in the coming year.
