Art on the Plaza
Sunday, May 2nd- 11:00 am-300 Villagio Town Center
ARTreach is inviting the community as well as our friends and families representing the Down Syndrome Association of Katy to come to ART on the Plaza at Villagio Town Center on Sunday, May 2nd 11:00 -3:00 p.m. for free art activities and painting projects. This is our final Art on the Plaza event for spring. Our participating artists will be selling their own artwork, and offering a variety of free or very affordable art activities for the families attending. Families will enjoy painting, tee shirt screen printing, note card making, rock painting, face painting, chalk drawing, music, drumming and dancing.
Thank you to our ARTreach volunteers and artists who have helped bring ART on the Plaza to the Katy community! Our events this spring were sponsored by ARTreach in partnership with Villagio Town Center in Cinco Ranch.
The ARTreach community theme this year is "All about Africa" and our events this year will try to share with families a broad spectrum of cultural influences and art forms that represent Africa. The Katy community can look forward to attending an ARTreach ART Party to "Paint for a Worthy Cause" at Berryhill Baja Grill in Cinco Ranch on May 21st 6:00-9:00 P.M. and save the date for "ART of Africa"- a special ARTreach event being held on October 21st . This event will feature our international partnership projects and unveil a collection of original works created by artists in Uganda. Community volunteers will also be invited to participate in the Heroes Among Us 2010 Community ART Car Project sponsored by Don McGill Toyota of Katy this summer.
