GREATER KATY EXCHANGE CLUB FEATURES DOWN SYNDROME SPEAKER
Greater Katy Exchange Club featured speaker on May 5, 2010, 6:30 pm is Teresa Cody a Sugar Land dentist who also has a non-profit foundation. Teresa's son has Down syndrome, and she spent years researching medicines to treat many of his symptoms. She now has a non-profit 501c3 called Changing Minds Foundation. This foundation suggests a protocol of herbs and medicines that treat symptoms and problems of Down syndrome such as ADHD, OCD and memory loss. Teresa dedicates much of her time trying to inform the public of this protocol. Changing Minds Foundation www.changingmindsfoundation.org is a nonprofit started by parents for parents? Their mission is to spread the word about the available treatments for Down syndrome. In the 1990's a mouse model of Down syndrome was developed. From that mouse, researchers have been able to figure out why long term memory and learning are blocked in Down syndrome. That information has changed the lives of many. They are here to share these fantastic developments. A documentary of the scientific advances and people involved is available for a small donation. Media and the public are invited to this hear this special speaker.
