HOUSTON (April 29, 2010) - The US Family Health Plan, a comprehensive, Department of Defense-sponsored healthcare plan serving local military beneficiaries through the not-for-profit CHRISTUS Health System, announces a pair of free information sessions in Katy for the families of active-duty military, activated National Guard and reservists; and military retirees and their family members. • Tuesday, May 18: 4 - 7 p.m. (in Room 305)
WHY:
Some local military families may find that their usual healthcare providers are no longer easily accessible due to recent contractual changes impacting the TRICARE Prime (military healthcare) network in this area. The US Family Health Plan, a TRICARE Prime option, has more than 850 local healthcare providers, and features zero premiums for active-duty families, as well as military retirees who have Medicare Part B.
