WHERE: LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch

Katy, Texas 77494

DETAILS: A special thanks to 2010 BIG Backyard Barbecue sponsors: Amstar Group, Cross Creek Ranch, En-Touch Systems, Inc., Katy Magazine, Members Choice Credit Union, Kasasa, Allen Samuels Dodge Katy, Encore Group, Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, Katy Hand & General Surgery, P.A., The Katy Sun, M-K-T Mortgage, Tejas Contractors, Inc., The Vista Companies, BounceU and FASTSIGNS of Katy. It is only with their support that LaCenterra can produce and host this wonderful community event.

Guests to the event are invited to visit the Patriotic Outpost presented by the Katy Area Veterans of Foreign War (VFW), Post 9182, and stock up on all things red, white and blue. Proceeds benefit Katy Area VFW programs for active and retired military personnel and their families. While there, say "thank you" to a soldier by signing one of the banners on display. Banners will be presented to area VA hospitals.

New for 2010 is an expanded Kid's Zone. Located behind Fish City Grill and Kenzo Sushi Bistro, BounceU will host the children's play area. Little ones can enjoy the "Red, White and Bounce" inflatable play house, hang out with colorful clowns and face painters, grab a sweet treat from the Nestlé's ice cream on-the-go cart and more.

Food and beverages will be available from LaCenterra restaurants and specialty food retailers including courtyard service from Fish City Grill, Nestlé Toll House Café and The Wine Next Door. Items available include beer, wine, sodas, water and those all-American cookout favorites - burgers and hotdogs! Proper ID is required at all beverage stations. Picnic baskets permitted. No outside alcohol allowed. Blankets and lawn chairs welcome (and encouraged) as seating is limited.

Surface and garage parking is available. Overflow parking is available at the Cinco Ranch High School, Cinco Ranch Junior High and Cinco Ranch Library lots. Please note: The interior drives will close to traffic at 4:30 p.m. to ensure pedestrian safety. Vehicles parked must remain in place through the duration of the event.
